Terms of Service
The rules of the BinderLoot account, the one-time patron payment and the card data the catalogue shows.
Who runs BinderLoot
BinderLoot is operated by Alejandro Medina, in Mexico. This document calls that person "the operator", and it calls you "the collector".
When you create an account or when you use the site, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.
What BinderLoot is
BinderLoot is a collection tracker for trading card games. It starts with Magic: The Gathering.
The collector catalogues owned printings, organizes physical copies into binders, builds deck lists and saves a wishlist.
- BinderLoot is not a shop. It does not sell, buy, trade or ship cards.
- BinderLoot shows an estimated value of a collection from daily reference prices. It is not an appraisal, and a reference price is not an offer.
- A deck report is advisory. The judge at your table decides a rule, not this site.
Your account
One account belongs to one person. Give a real address, because the account recovery reaches that address alone.
You keep the password and the passkeys of the account secret. You are responsible for what the account does.
The collector owns the collection data, the binders, the decks, the wishlist and the profile text. The operator claims no ownership of that content.
You can delete the account at any time, under Settings. The deletion removes the account and the library data of the account.
What you cannot do
The site is free, and the cost of a request is real. These limits keep it open for everybody.
- Do not copy the catalogue with an automated program. The rate limits and the crawl rules of the site are binding.
- Do not write an unlawful, abusive or misleading text into a username, a profile or a deck name.
- Do not use another collector account, and do not sell access to your own account.
- Do not attack the site, and do not read data that belongs to another collector.
The patron payment
Every feature of BinderLoot is free. A collector who wants to support the product can make one payment.
The payment is a single charge, and it is not a subscription. Nothing renews, and nothing charges you a second time.
The payment adds a gold crown next to your name. It unlocks no feature, no data and no priority, because every feature is already free.
Stripe takes the payment. The operator never receives and never stores your card number.
If you want the payment back, write to the operator within 14 days. The badge is removed with the refund.
Card data and other names
BinderLoot is an unofficial product. It is not produced by, endorsed by, supported by or affiliated with Wizards of the Coast.
Magic: The Gathering, the card names, the card text, the card images and the mana symbols belong to Wizards of the Coast LLC.
The catalogue data comes from Scryfall. BinderLoot shows it under the terms of that source, and it credits the source on the page.
The name BinderLoot, the site design and the code belong to the operator.
Retailer links
BinderLoot does not sell cards. The product can add links to card retailers later.
A link that pays BinderLoot a commission carries a label that says so, on the page that holds the link.
The operator is not a party to your purchase at a retailer. The shop answers for the price, the stock and the delivery.
Availability and changes
The site is given as it is. The operator promises no uptime, no accuracy of catalogue data and no fitness for a purpose.
The operator can change, pause or stop a feature. A change that removes collector data is announced before it happens.
Export your library before you need it. The collection, the binders and the wishlist each export as a CSV file.
Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for an indirect or consequential loss.
The total liability of the operator is limited to the amount you paid to BinderLoot in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in this document removes a right that the law gives you and that a contract cannot remove.
End of the agreement
You can stop at any time. Delete the account under Settings.
The operator can close an account that breaks these terms. The operator writes to the address of the account and gives the reason.
Changes to these terms
The operator can change this document. The date at the top of the page shows the last change.
A change that reduces your rights is announced by email, at least 14 days before it starts.
Applicable law
This agreement is governed by the law of Mexico. A dispute goes to the competent courts of Mexico.
If a consumer law of your own country gives you a stronger right, that right stands.
