BinderLoot

What changed

Release notes

Every new feature and every fix a collector can see, newest first.

  • New

Storage: You can now publish one binder or box and share its link, also when your profile is private. Open the binder, turn on "Publish this binder", and copy or share the link. Visitors see the cards and the copies, not the condition, the notes or the tags.

  • New

Decks: You can now publish a deck. Write a short description, choose "Publish deck", and copy or share the link. Anyone with the link can read the deck, and your profile can stay private.

  • New

Profiles and decks: A link to your public profile, a published deck or a deck on your shared profile now shows a large preview image with its name and your username when you paste it in a chat or a social post.

  • New

Settings: A new Notifications page lets you turn on notifications on this device and choose what BinderLoot sends. On an iPhone or an iPad, add BinderLoot to your Home Screen first.

  • New

Agents: An AI assistant that supports MCP can now search the BinderLoot catalogue and read the reference price of a card at https://binderloot.com/mcp/catalogue, with no account. Each answer links the card page.

  • New

Decks: You can now publish a deck. Write a short description and a guide in Markdown, choose "Publish deck", and copy or share the link. Anyone with the link can read the deck, and your profile can stay private.

  • New

App: BinderLoot installs as an app on your phone or computer. The home page shows the steps for iPhone, iPad, Android and computers. Choose "Install app" in the account menu or in the footer at any time. After you save a deck or reach 10 copies in your collection, BinderLoot offers the install. If you close the offer, it asks again after 14 days, at most two more times.

  • New

Help: The help center now starts with "About BinderLoot". It answers what BinderLoot is and how it tracks a Magic or a Pokémon collection for free.

  • New

Import guides: Each import guide now starts with a short answer that tells you how to bring your collection from that app.

  • Fixed

Help: The answers about the games and the card prices now name Pokémon and TCGdex, not only Magic and Scryfall.

  • New

Sets: each set has a card prices page. It lists the 50 most valuable cards of the set with the price and the date of each price, and it marks a price that is more than 3 days old. Open it from "Card prices" on the set page.

  • Fixed

Prices: Pokémon cards show their price again, and your collection value counts your Pokémon cards again. Our price source stopped sending new Pokémon prices on October 14, so we show the last known price with its date. A price more than 3 days old says so on the card page.

  • Fixed

Catalogue: The Magic and Pokémon homes no longer make you wait for the most wanted, most collected, rising and falling cards. The lists are ready each morning, and they change once a day.

  • New

Catalogue: The game home now lists sets that are not out yet under "Upcoming sets", so "Latest sets" shows only sets you can open today.

  • Fixed

Catalogue: A Pokémon set card now names its series instead of "Set type unavailable", and the Pokémon search suggests a Pokémon card.

  • New

Home: The home page now has a Pokémon section with the card languages and variants, and a table that compares BinderLoot with ManaBox and Collectr, with a source for each fact.

  • New

Compare: New pages compare BinderLoot with ManaBox and Collectr, fact by fact, with a link to the source of each fact. Open "Compare collection apps" in the footer.

  • Fixed

Decks: You can delete a deck again. Open the deck and choose "Delete deck". The cards stay in your collection.

  • Fixed

Storage: Deleting a box now says "Box deleted." instead of "Binder deleted.".

  • New

Catalogue: "Other printings" on a card page now shows the price of each printing, and marks the cheapest printing of the card.

  • New

Catalogue: A card page now shows how the price of each finish moved over the last 30 days, with a small chart and a line such as "Up 12% in 21 days".

  • New

Catalogue: Every set page now has a list of all its cards. Open "All N cards" under the set name to read every card with its number and rarity, without scrolling through the grid.

  • New

Patron: The patron page now lists the patrons. A patron appears by username while their profile is public, and the others are counted without a name.

  • New

Catalogue: A new price report lists the 50 cards whose price rose most and the 50 whose price fell most over the last seven days. Open it from "Full price report" on the Magic or Pokémon home.

  • New

Catalogue: Each set now shows its set symbol beside its name, in the list of sets and on the set page.

  • New

  • New

Catalogue: The page of each game now shows the cards whose price rose most and fell most in the last 7 days, for example "Up 50% from $10.00". Cards under $2 are not in these lists. The lists appear after 7 days of price history.

  • New

Catalogue: The page of each game now shows the cards that most collectors want and the cards that most collectors own. A card shows when at least 3 collectors want it or own it.

  • New

  • New

Catalogue: Open "All cards" from the sidebar, from a game in the catalogue list, or from the list of sets of a game.

  • New

Catalogue: Open "All cards" from a game to see every card of Magic or Pokémon in one list. Filter it by set, rarity, color and type, and choose "Cards I need" or "Cards I own". Pick one or more sets or rarities to see how many of those cards you own, for example the special illustration rares of three sets: 14/37 · 37%.

  • Fixed

Catalogue: Pokémon card images now show their full colors, without the grain of a 256-color image. The other printings on a card page are sharp on high-resolution screens.

  • New

Catalogue: A Magic set page now shows the base set apart from the showcase and other extra cards, for example 200 of 271 of the base set. Sets released from 2023 on print no card count, so their base set ends at the last regular booster card before the first showcase or borderless card.

  • New

  • New

Pokémon cards: See separate reference prices for Holo and Reverse Holo copies on the card page and in your collection estimate when TCGdex publishes them.

  • New

Import: "Skip cards I already own" now compares the finish too. A holo or foil copy of a card you have only as normal is added, and a card you already have in the same finish is skipped.

  • New

Sets: The list of sets now shows the cards you own over the cards in each set, for example 80/100 · 80%.

  • New

Sets: A set page now shows how many cards of each rarity you own, for example 3/12 special illustration rares. Choose "Cards I need" to see only the cards you do not own yet, or "Cards I own" to see the ones you have.

  • New

Collection: Filter your collection by rarity. Combine it with the Sets filter to see, for example, every special illustration rare you own across several sets.

  • New

Import: Before you apply an import, choose "Skip cards I already own" to add only the cards that are new to your collection. Use it when you upload an updated export of the same collection, so your cards are not added twice.

  • New

Search: Add a card to your collection straight from the search results. Tap Add on a result to add one copy, and pick the finish first when the card has more than one. The search stays open, so you can add the next card at once.

  • New

Cards: The ways to add a card now sit right under its name. On a phone, a bar at the bottom of the screen takes you back to them from anywhere on the page.

  • New

Catalogue: Browse Pokémon sets and cards in Japanese. Pick the language at the top of the sets list.

  • New

Import: TCG Collector files now import your Japanese cards. A card from the Japan region becomes its Japanese printing.

  • New

Catalogue: Pokémon cards in Chinese, Korean, Thai and Indonesian arrive as each language finishes its first import. TCG Collector cards from the China, Korea and Indonesia regions import in their language.

  • New

Collection: Your BinderLoot export now names the language of each card.

  • New

Collection: Imports now take up to 100,000 rows and 25 MB. Large imports finish in the background and show progress. If an import stops, upload the same file again and it continues where it stopped, if you do it within 7 days. Card states that would pass 9,999 copies are skipped and listed.

  • New

Pokémon cards: a card page now lists every variant of a card, for example Reverse Holo · Poké Ball, Holo · Cosmos or a stamped print, and you can add a copy in that exact variant.

  • New

Import: you can now move your Pokémon collection from TCG Collector. Upload the collection CSV that TCG Collector exports, and BinderLoot finds each card by its expansion and card number and keeps its variant, condition, quantity and note. Every TCG Collector variant imports: a variant the catalogue lists, for example Poké Ball Reverse Holo, becomes that finish, and any other variant keeps its name in the note of the copy. The guide at Import › TCG Collector shows how to export the file.

  • New

Import: a file with rows BinderLoot cannot match no longer stops the whole import. The review page lists the skipped rows and their reasons, and Apply adds the rest of your cards.

  • New

Home: the home page now shows everything BinderLoot does. See the apps you can import your collection from, the deck wizard, the free tools, and the guides for Magic and Pokémon. It also no longer says that Magic is the only game.

  • New

Everywhere: titles now use a bolder font that is easier to read.

  • New

Welcome: a new account now starts on a welcome screen. Tell BinderLoot where your cards are, and it shows you how to export them from your app and upload them in one step.

  • New

Import: the review page now updates by itself while BinderLoot checks your file, so you no longer reopen it. After the import, go straight to the deck wizard.

  • New

Decks: pick the colors of your deck in the deck wizard. The wizard builds a deck from your cards of those colors, and it tells you when the mana of that deck is tight. Before you save a deck, swap any card for another card of yours that the wizard left out.

  • New

Decks: the deck wizard now explains itself. Under the decks it suggests, read what it found in your collection, how it builds a deck step by step, why each color did or did not become a deck, and which cards or lands would give you another deck. Open the card list of a deck to see what job each card does.

  • Fixed

Decks: the deck wizard now puts the basic lands of every color in its decks, also the lands you do not own yet. Before, a black and red deck could get only Mountains.

  • Fixed

Decks: a creature that draws a card or searches for a land now counts as a creature in your deck report and in the deck wizard. Before, the reminder text on a card could label it card draw or ramp.

  • Fixed

Decks: the deck wizard now builds a deck from a collection spread across many colors. It adds the basic lands you do not own yet, and it no longer fills a deck with extra lands.

  • New

Learn: two new guides, "Choosing your colors" and "Building a mana base", show how many lands your deck needs and how to split them between your colors. The glossary now explains basic lands, dual lands, pips, splashes and mana fixing.

  • New

Learn: the guides now sit inside each game. Pick a game in the sidebar and open Learn under it. Old Learn links still work. Pokémon guides are on the way.

  • New

Decks: the deck wizard builds whole deck lists out of the cards you already own. Pick Standard, Pioneer, Modern, Legacy or Vintage, read up to three complete lists with their curve, their roles and the basic lands you still need, and keep the one you want. Open it from your deck list.

  • New

Decks: the deck wizard now builds Commander decks. It reads the legendary creatures you own, picks the ones your collection supports best, and gives you a full 100-card list with its commander already in the command zone.

  • Fixed

Decks: selling your last copy of a basic land no longer empties that land from your decks. Your Forests stay in the deck. Only the printing you owned is gone.

  • New

Tools: the mana base tool now gives land advice for a 40-card Limited deck.

  • New

Decks: a deck of 40 to 59 cards with no format now gets Limited land and color advice, and the color source counts follow the 2022 numbers.

  • New

Tools: a deck tool now tells you when your list has no main deck cards, for example a list of only sideboard cards.

  • New

Tools: when a saved deck is no longer in your account, for example after you delete it in another tab, a deck tool says so and asks you to pick another deck.

Tools: signed in, pick one of your saved decks instead of pasting it.

  • New

Tools: the mana base tool shows the mana curve of a deck, the colour sources its lands make against the colours its spells need, and the land count it needs. No account needed.

  • New

Tools: the deck image maker turns a deck list into a picture of the cards by type and the mana curve. Download it as a PNG, or share it from your phone.

  • New

Tools: the random commander button picks a legal commander in the colours you choose, with a link to its card page.

  • Fixed

Collection import: when your CSV file starts with a "sep=" line, for example a Dragon Shield export, each problem row now shows its real line number.

  • New

Collection: see the estimated value of your whole collection, from daily reference prices, and how many of your copies have a price. Only you see it.

Collection: each card shows its estimated value, and the new sort "Highest value" puts your most valuable cards first.
